The concept of "animation" has a Latin origin (anita - wind, air, soul; animatus - animation) and means inspiration, stimulation of vitality, involvement in activity.
Tourist animation is a tourist service in the rendering of which the tourist is involved in active action. It is based on personal contacts of the animator with tourists, on their joint participation in the entertainment offered by the animation program of the tourist complex. This is a type of tourist activity carried out in a tourist complex, hotel, cruise ship, train, which involves tourists in a variety of activities through participation in specially designed leisure programs.

R: Yes, of course! We have a very good animation team. This is Antonio, one of our animators. He can explain more.
A: Good morning, Sir/ Madam! What can I do for you?
G: Could you tell me what activities your animation team offers?
A: Yes, I can show you our animation program. It is here. Here you can see for each day of the week what the program is. For example, on Mondays we start at 10 a.m. with games on the beach for the little ones, and everyone else can join the morning gymnastics. At 11 o'clock, the youngest children continue with their face painting in the kids' club, teenagers can get temporary tattoos, and for the rest of the guests we offer a fun cocktail game at the pool bar. The afternoon program starts at 3 pm with character painting for the little ones in the kids club, pool games for the teenagers and darts for the adults From 5 p.m. we offer card games for the children and beach volleyball for the rest of the guests. In the evening from 7.30 p.m. is the children's disco, and at 9 p.m. the Bulgarian national evening begins. Every guest is welcome. We will be waiting for you!

Exercise 4: Create Your Animation Program
Imagine you are an animator at a tourist complex. Create an animation program for a specific day of the week, just like in the dialogue. Include activities for children, teenagers, and adults. Specify the time and place for each activity, and make it diverse and interesting.
Exercise 5: Plan Your Perfect Vacation Day
Imagine you are a hotel guest. Plan your ideal vacation day using the activities mentioned in the dialogue. Create a schedule for yourself, specifying which activities you'd like to participate in and at what time. Be sure to include activities for children, teenagers, and adults.
Exercise 6: Role Play
Practice the dialogue as if you were the receptionist (R), the animator (A), or the hotel guest (G). You can use the dialogue provided as a template and then try it with a partner, switching roles.
Exercise 7: Cultural Exchange
Research and write a brief description of a cultural event or activity from your own country that could be included in a tourist animation program. Explain why it would be interesting and enjoyable for tourists from other countries.
